VoiceThread is a web-based media player that incorporates a highly engaging and interactive discussion space. Faculty and students can use VoiceThread to upload media (video, images, presentations, and documents) and then add narration, comments, questions, answers, etc. (in text, video, and audio) all around the shared content. It can be used as a simple whiteboard, for storytelling, for peer review, speeches, debate, case studies, no office-office hours, and so much more.
VoiceThread (VT) was purchased with Prop 301 funds. This limited pilot will help PC determine if VoiceThread supports student learning and meets instructional needs in courses, specifically in Prop 301 identified industry sectors. Additionally, we hope to gather feedback to assess demand for the service and support structures for considering a continued license at the college.
